Job description
MPI have a requirement for an Aircraft B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer to work on site at RAF Valley.
Part 145 – Engineers Job Level
Rate of pay is £54,811.33per annum.
In job allowances can boost wage, fire marshal, first aider, type rating, 4 x 4 shift allowance, max LAE can earn is around £60K currently.
Total shut down for all over the Christmas period as well as a generous leave allowance and flexibility.
Our client is looking for someone who is a Self-motivated individual supporting Line and Base maintenance, supervising Technicians and demonstrates a flexible working attitude in a fast-changing environment.
They operate x 2 shift patterns 4 on/ 4 off days, 12 hours and Mon-Fri early/latest rotating 8 hours with no weekend work on this pattern.
Our Client is a civil company with CAA approved P145 organisation and have a small company ethos with a close knit motivated supportive team. They maintain Texan T6, a civil certified aerobatic trainer with Pratt & Witney gas turbo prop engine. A type course including on the job training approx. 3 weeks in house.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Experience
Experience of working in a UK CAA Part 145 environment.
Experience of supervising staff.
Experience of working and certifying maintenance within Line and Base maintenance.
Experience of working closely with multi-site teams, building relationships and leveraging them to deliver outstanding performance in a highly regulated environment. Desirable Experience
Proficiency in use of common software packages including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Power BI, Microsoft Project.
Desirable Qualifications
UK CAA Part 66 B1 Licence
Ability to acquire UK security clearance.
Full UK driving licence.
UK CAA Part 66 License C Rating
Initial Human factors
Current SMS training
Current EWIS training
Current Fuel Tank Safety Training
Holds Type Approval on Company aircraft.
Roles & Responsibilities
Carry out and certify routine and non-routine maintenance including defect rectification within the line and base maintenance environment, working within both the CAA & MAA Regularity requirements.
Updating maintenance records within the company’s maintenance information software.
Supervising and monitoring the performance of engineering staff (Technicians), providing guidance when appropriate.
Detailed knowledge of UK CAA Part 145 regulations with working practices and acceptable means of compliance within an Aircraft Maintenance Environment.
Detailed knowledge of Aviation Safety Management Systems (SMS).
Understanding of UK CAA Part CAMO regulations.
Understanding of UK CAA CAP 562 Leaflet B-40 CAA Oversight of Military Registered Aircraft (COMRA) – Policy and Principles.
Understanding of MAA regulations.
Enjoy working both indoors and outdoors, as well as in all types of weather conditions.
