Senior Social Worker - Fostering Job Description The London Borough of Barnet are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker / Advanced Practitioner to join their Fostering team.
This role will involve working in the Carer Assessment Team / kinship, where the successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking initial viability assessments.
The successful candidate will be expected to have good experience at senior social work (AP/ATM) level and will be required to prepare reports for both Barnets fostering panel and also for the court.
The candidate is expected to be in the office roughly once per week.
Key Responsibilities - Undertake initial viability assessments of family and friends
- Progress to full Special Guardianship and Connected Carer Assessments
- Prepare reports for both Barnets fostering panel and also for the court
- Work both virtually and face to face
- Be in the office roughly once per week
Requirements - Registered degree in Social Work
- Good experience at senior social work (AP/ATM) level
- Registered with Social Work England
- Ability to be in the office roughly once per week
