Job description
Axon Moore are exclusively partnering with a successful PE backed SME near Bolton as they look to increase their strong finance team with the addition of a newly qualified Group Accountant.
This is an excellent varied opportunity for a first time mover to step into a high level role within an established business, with the opportunity to drive change and make the role their own. This individual will gain exceptional exposure and shadow and learn from a high calibre and supportive Financial Controller.
Responsibilities include:
- Consolidation of the monthly group accounts and forecast
- Group reporting
- Preparation of annual group budget and forecasting
- Support the Financial Controller in month end reporting and preparation of financial information for the board meetings
- Assist with the preparation of the annual statutory accounts
- Assist with the annual external audit process
- Support the Financial Controller with driving the financial controls across the Group; with the view of standardising and developing group wide processes and reporting
- Continuous improvement of existing accounting procedures, and implementing new standards across the Group
- Ad hoc project work, including potential upcoming acquisitions
