SALARY: The salary banding for this role is £68,202 - £75,780

LOCATION: Stockport

HOURS: 35 hours, full time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

About this opportunity

We have a brilliant opportunity for someone to join the Corporate Lab in Transport. This is an exciting time to join Transport as we progress on an inspiring journey with significant investment to transform the customer experience & digitise our offering.

We're looking for a driven DevOps Engineer who can help us deliver exciting customer driven solutions. In our DevOps team, we lead the way in defining the best of new technology offerings, working closely with our Engineering Leads to collectively drive the tooling agenda.

It’s a very hands-on role, with your time spread among short term support-related tasks, longer-term initiatives, problem-solving, optimising, forecasting, planning and personal development, as well as leading others.

You’ll take ownership of specific problems to deliver customer focused outcomes. Contribute to DevOps strategy both internally for our platform and externally into the wider Lloyds Banking Group. Whilst participating in the DevOps Guild to advance the capabilities and awareness of DevOps across the Transport Platform and wider Lloyds Banking Group.

What you’ll need

A d etailed knowledge of DevOps tooling - this will involve defining and delivering to the overall strategy of the Group.

Understanding of GIT, source code management and managing change.

Hands-on experience of the entire pipeline and supporting tooling, Git, Nexus, Jenkins, Docker, SonarQube, Ansible.

Good knowledge and experience of agile development practices, continuous integration and delivery, for a fast and secure route to live.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, specifically around Azure DevOps.

Be able to communicate effectively and work together as part of a team, build relationships with others across a variety of domains, fields and locations, but also be able to work autonomously and proactively.

And any experience of these would be really useful

Knowledge and experience in the development of ReactJS and Node based applications

Good skills on knowledge management, as well as mentoring and training others in various DevOps based skills

Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Knowledge and experience in the development of .Net based applications and of Microsoft SQL code.

Hands-on experience in Terraform, Shell Scripting,
