Job description

What you will do in your working day

.The apprentice will support and assist the stylist with shampooing, colour removal and ensuring the client receives excellent customer service.

.The apprentice will adhere to salon standards to ensure the salon is kept clean and hygienic.

. The apprentice will work towards sourcing the relevant models for training days to enable the progression of the NVQ qualification.

The training you will be getting

Training will be delivered in-salon in academy style blocks of 2-3 days and will equate to 4 days per month, it will be delivered in a real life working environment by trainers / stylists who run their own column of clients and are up to date with current trends.

Training is bespoke to the individual rather than a classroom setting. Once the apprentice is competant and confident they can practice throughout the working week on models leaving room for new skills in the 1-1 training.

We also send our apprentices on external training where they can learn more advanced skills as they advance through their training.

The qualification is an NVQ 2 qualification.

• Level 2 Diploma for Hair Professionals (Hairdressing/Barbering) 
• All apprentices will complete the core skills and knowledge (Part 1) and will choose the occupational option route for hairdressing or barbering (Part 2) Part 1 – Mandatory core skills and knowledge for hairdressing and barbering
• Functional skills if required

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

• Once qualified the apprentice can expect to work as a successful qualified stylist in the salon building their own column of clients.
• There is an opportunity to become an in salon trainer / assessor
