Job description

Please see the full job description for more information Secretarial: Deal with incoming correspondence and telephone enquiries from parents, carers and clinical professionals using initiative on a daily basis. You will be dealing with emotional and highly sensitive situations, with full regard for Safeguarding and data protection. Using own judgement, compose and type letters on behalf of Consultants to parents and other professionals regarding outcomes of meetings. Type and distribute correspondence relating to outcomes from the new referrals meetings and ASD meetings and any other general correspondence as required. Arrange venues and prepare meetings as required, including collating relevant papers and child health records. Maintain in-house data recording system. Undertake special projects and prepare documents as required by the Business Manager or Associate Director ICPS. Provide support and information to Consultant Paediatricians as required. Liaise with clinical professionals in relation to confidential information regarding referrals and outcomes. Maintain accurate mailing database, i.e. schools, nurses, health visitors, GP surgeries and other health professionals. Provide cover to other secretarial staff as and when required to include telephone calls/filing and audio typing. On occasion and as necessary, provide cover for the reception area at the relevant location. Ensure compliance with all mandatory training requirements and other training needs as agreed with your line manager. Process the calls for the Safeguarding referrals for the medical team. Undertake such other appropriate duties as may be delegated from time to time by the Consultant Community Paediatrician and the Locality Business Manager Undertake other duties commensurate with your grade and/or hours of work at your initial place of work or at any other of the Trusts establishments, as may reasonably be required of you
