YHA Lee Valley are looking to recruit a Catering Team Member for 15-35 hours per week.
Perhaps our most unique London hostel, YHA London Lee Valley is a youth hostel split over six wooden lodge-style buildings. It offers the perfect accommodation if you want a great mix of city sightseeing and activities. We are situated in the Lee Valley Regional Park - where you can explore open green spaces and take part in watersports.
Just a 20-minute train journey from central London, the hostel is within easy reach of the capital - perfect for sightseeing and city excursions to complement all of your activities.

What will you be doing as a Catering Team Member?
Our Catering Team Members take on a variety of customer-facing responsibilities throughout the hostel, ensuring a fantastic experience for all guests and visitors at YHA.
While this role primarily focuses on the catering aspects of our hostel, you may also be called upon to assist in other hostel departments. Here are some of the areas you might contribute to:
What Skills and Experience are Valued in a Catering Team Member?
While prior experience in a customer-facing role is advantageous, it's not a strict requirement for our Catering Team Members. Experience** in hospitality or customer service is desirable but not essential.
Strong communication skills are an asset, and punctuality is of the essence.
**We place great value on real-life experience, just as much as skills and knowledge. We provide a comprehensive induction, continuous training, and further development opportunities. While not mandatory, having experience in volunteering or collaborating with others is advantageous.
