Job description
Outpatient Sister/ Charge Nurse , Covering many specialties . The post holder will be a clearly identifiable senior clinical and managerial staff member, and team leader. They will have significant experience and be responsible for delivering care in all areas of Outpatients providing clinical knowledge and expertise to their team, whilst coordinating and delivering high quality care. They will be a role model and lead on specific projects / management functions as delegated by the Lead Nurse . They will uphold the identified Trust values at all times. Clinical Responsibilities Wound care and advice including suture removal. Administering medications including injections. Maintaining good time management and personal organisation. Providing cover for colleagues in all clinical areas as required. Leadership and Management Manage the day to day staffing arrangements and rotas, to ensure safe levels of practice. Be a shift co-ordinator on a regular basis where appropriate, ensuring high standards are delivered to all patients attending the Outpatinet services.Ensure all staff are aware of and adhere to all trust Protocols of care Ensuring a kind compassionate environment for all staff and patients ensuring civility is expected.
