Exciting Opportunity: Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 per annum

Location: Antrim, Northern Ireland

Projects: Local and GB only

Company car provided

I'm delighted to be working with a leading construction firm, seeking a proactive Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in Antrim, Northern Ireland. This role involves overseeing commercial aspects of projects, ensuring profitability and success from pre to post contract stages. Travel may be required. (maximum one night overstay domestically)

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct quantity take-offs and assist in tender preparations.
• Manage subcontractor appointments and material procurement.
• Monitor measures, report variances, and settle interim claims.
• Prepare documentation for clients and consultants.
• Produce bill of quantities, handle variations, and reconcile costs.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Provide financial reports and advice on contractual matters.

Essential:

• Relevant surveying experience in construction/fit-out industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g., JCT).
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Proactive, flexible, and adaptable approach.
• Valid driver's license

Desirable:

• Third-level qualification in Surveying or related discipline.
• Experience in bid and tender submissions.
• Familiarity with e-tendering processes.
