Job description

Job Title: Customer Service Assistant - Hitchin Library
Location: Hitchin
Starting Salary: £23,114 with the opportunity to progress to £ 23,500 per annum (pro rata for part-time)
Hours: 6.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

Working as part of a great team, you will deliver excellent customer service to library customers, ensuring all information, services and resources are available and promoted to members of the public. This is a part-time post in a busy library where children’s events and activities often occur on a Saturday.

The successful candidate will be a friendly, approachable person who is happy to work in a customer-facing role. You will be a competent IT user and able to search for information online and through the library management system. You will be organised and confident in assisting customers to make the most of the services that libraries offer.
