Job description
We are recruiting for a Contracts Supervisor / Assistant Contracts Manager living within commuting distance of Northampton who will be supporting the Contracts Manager in delivering a first class grounds maintenance and play area maintenance service within the commercial residential industrial new build developer and local authority sectors.
On offer is a salary of between 28000 and 33000 a year plus company vehicle four weeks holiday pension scheme as well as career progression opportunities.
As the Contracts Supervisor / Assistant Contracts manager you will be:
- Taking on responsibility for managing the play equipment street furniture and surfacing repair maintenance and inspection function of the company. This is currently centred around one technician but is expected to grow over the coming year and covers housing developers parish councils and schools.
- Supporting the Contracts Manager in delivering a best in class grounds maintenance service to clients from the commercial residential new build industrial and local authority sectors.
- Ensuring required materials are ordered delivered jobs scheduled and invoiced correctly.
- Visiting sites and attending client meetings to understand requirements and/or resolve any issues.
Requirements
The skills and experience you will need will include:
- Experience of both grounds maintenance and play equipment maintenance and inspection.
- A good working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Applications (Outlook Word etc.)
- Experience of managing directly employed and ideally subcontracted teams.
- A positive and proactive attitude with the ability to motivate train and manage teams.
- Being confident in liaising with Clients.
- Being confident in your ability to manage multiple grounds maintenance play area repair and maintenance projects.
