Description
Here at Marlborough Highways we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our fantastic team, with a strong background in highways, construction or utilities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering successful projects, building and maintaining effective teams, as well as leading others, supporting and driving training and development.
Key Responsibilities
- To represent the company in the delivery of projects
- To ensure the delivery of all works safely
- Responsible for agreeing project targets in accordance with objectives with Contracts Director/Manager for all elements of the project
- Accountable for managing, building, developing and supporting the wider team
- Must build and maintain good relationships with the client, as well as all internal and external stakeholders
- Build and maintain good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Monitor progress with up to date programmes so that timely and clear direction can be given to the team on critical contract/financial targets
- Responsible for the development, management and maintenance of the Site Management Plan
- Identifying and evaluating risks, determining and managing actions and maintaining Risk Register
- Responsible for managing and controlling changes to scope, requirements, personnel etc
- Accountable for monitoring progress against cost plans, programmes and quality/environmental plans
- Manage all stakehlder engagement
- Develop and protect our subcontractor relationships
- Prepare and present project reports
- Liaise with line management regarding approvals and decisions at key stages within project
- Responsible for preparing and maintaining project information
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proven technical and project management abilities
- Strong organisational and management skills
- Knowledge of the requirements and implementation of CDM regulations
- Ability to produce Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, and implement safe systems of work
- Detailed knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental issues relevant to the project environment
- Sufficient experience required in construction/highways
