Senior Mechanical Engineer - PTC Creo
- Airborne and Defence Industry
- Basildon, Essex (20% onsite)
- 6 month contract
- £50ph (Inside IR35, Umbrella)
We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join the Precision Guidance Integrated Project Team (IPT) to assist with the design and documentation for the next generation of Missile Seeker.
The successful candidate will be experienced in the Airborne and Defence Industry.
The Mechanical Engineer role offers hybrid working, with the option of on-site working at our Basildon (Essex) office.
Skill and Knowledge:
- Defence and/or the Aerospace Industry domain experience
- Perform 'hands on' mechanical design and development using 3D CAD software.
- Skilled in use of PTC Creo application
- Experience in creation of Bill of Materials (BOM) using a PLM system (eg Teamcenter Unified).
- Experience in using Teamcenter Unified
- Knowledgeable in the design of opto-mechanical sub-assemblies
- Demonstrable experience in producing numerical calculations, tolerance studies to support design solution
- Working knowledge of BS8888 and GD&T
