Head of Science
Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR 1b
Hours: Permanent (32.5 hours Monday – Friday/52.143 weeks per year)
We are looking for an excellent Head of Science, TLR 1b, to join our team in September 2024 and help us transform the lives of children. This is an opportunity to join the middle-leadership of a school where the ambition is a simple one: to become the highest performing school in the UK within the next few years. We are looking for an inspirational and passionate Science practitioner to lead our large team of outstanding teachers. We value talent and potential as highly as experience so if you are only a couple of years into your career, please do not be put off applying for this role.
We teach Science right up to A-Level, where we offer both Applied and separate sciences so your ability to teach up to KS5 will be essential. You will be leading a large department of nine teachers, including yourself. Science is right at the heart of our curriculum and you are unlikely to be working at a school as committed to Science teaching as we are. Many of our children wish to go on to study medicine at University so this really is a subject that’s integral to our whole-school mission.
