The Workforce Development Service is responsible for ensuring that members of the children’s workforce have the right training, qualifications and on-going professional development to provide the high quality services. The Workforce Development Service is made up of the following teams: learning and development (L&D) team, Wellbeing and Employee Engagement (WaEE) team and People and Payroll (PP) team. Our Workforce development service operates across both of our operational areas (Richmond and Kingston and Windsor and Maidenhead local authorities).
The L&D team has four strands 1) training delivery 2) Events and centre management 3) Apprenticeship delivery (W2W) and 4) team business management. Business Management is a new addition to the service and will manage each function associated with the business management of Workforce Development. This will include supporting our managers with their data and finance needs whilst providing business management support to the Way2Work team through recruitment and engagement with employers. The service is focussed on delivering the best outcomes for our learners in whichever capacity they interact with us. In this role the post holder will work from one of our offices and from home, in line with our Future Space strategy.
The Exams Administrative Assistant is responsible for a number of the administrative support functions for the apprenticeship programme. The role will work with the Business Manager and the Lead Trainer Assessor to administer the whole apprenticeship lifecycle. This will include working with colleagues in the team to coordinate our processes for the registration, invigilation and certification of all learner exams as well as manage contracting arrangements with employers and to liaise with the Trainer Assessors to ensure the learner is inducted on to their programme of learning. The postholder will be the single point of contact for apprenticeship related questions. This role is pivotal in making sure the apprenticeship support offer is managed in an effective and efficient manner.
In addition the post holder will have excellent verbal skills and will be able to support projects and initiate activities in relation to L&D, enabling managers, employees and partners to receive a competent and timely service.
