Overview

R&D Electrochemical Scientist

Location: South West

Salary: 35-43K neg.

An opportunity has arisen for an R&D Electrochemical Scientistto work within R&D and engineering teams based in the SW area.

Duties:

• Designing research experiments towards the optimization of electrochemical processes
• Conducting experiments on existing electrochemical testing setup.
• Improvement and maintenance of the existing experimental testing
• Collaborating with the R&D team and the engineering team for the development activities of full-scale industrial experiments.
• Developing experimental protocols related to the characterization of electrochemical properties.
• Conducting research with large data sets.

Qualifications and Experience

• The successful candidate will have MSc, PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline with 3-4 years working experience in electrochemical research or engineering environment.
• The Electrochemist will have strong theoretical background in electrochemistry with proven ability to perform data analysis and modelling.
• The Electrochemist will be expected to have experience or good knowledge of materials characterisation, experimental electrochemical cell setup, data analysis and also, ability to independently plan and implement research programs.
