Our client has a long-established great reputation for designing, building, and commissioning process manufacturing machinery in the Huddersfield area. Due to Excessive growth within the key market sector they are currently seeking an Applications Engineer to join their team.
The purpose of the Applications Engineer role is to be responsible for the conceptual design and development of equipment and systems and redesign of existing systems to fulfil the requirements of internal and external customers.
Based in HUDDERSFIELD , just 10 minutes from the M62, this business is easily commutable from Halifax, Bradford, Leeds, Rochdale, Oldham, Manchester, Wakefield, Barnsley, Rotherham and Sheffield.
Responsibilities of the Applications Engineer:
- Ensure that all sales prospects, enquiries, and quotations are professionally managed and delivered to the customer in accordance with procedures.
- Work with the Sales Team to provide technical information.
- The Applications Engineer is responsible for the conceptual design and development of equipment and systems and redesign of existing systems to fulfill the requirements of internal and external customers. Responsible for seamless technical transition of projects from Sales through to the Engineering Team.
- Accurate identification, optimisation, and collection of all cost estimates.
- Promote and achieve good working relationships with customers to assist the process of identifying and winning new work.
- Continually seek and identify opportunities for cost savings through innovation and the application of best practice.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding company engineering and production capabilities and provide technical information across the product range.
The Applications Engineer will have:
- Experience in manufacturing pharmaceutical equipment and working in a pharmaceutical manufacturing Controlled Environments.
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification – HNC/HND Degree
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience in people management.
Working hours of the Applications Engineer:
- 38.75 hours – Flex Time Scheme
- Monday to Thursday start between 7:00 – 9:30am and finish between 3:30 – 6:00pm
- Friday start 7:00 – 9:30am and finish between 1:45 – 5:30pm.
In return, the Applications Engineer will receive:
- Renumeration:£42,000,00 /£47,000.00 DOE
- 23 days holiday.
