Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Hive EPR team powered by Epic and join the Patient Engagement Portal (MyMFT) module.

MyMFT is MFT’s Patient Engagement Portal and a key front-door to our organisation, empowering our patients.

The role is going to be responsible for developing the configuration of our Patient Engagement Portal further, working very closely with our clinical and operational teams for enhancements.

The role

As an EPR Application Analyst, you’ll design and configure EPR modules and adapt them to our working practices and standards. Your work will be a vital link between the new technology and our services and will ensure our transition to Hive is a success.

You’ll work closely with our staff to analyse our current processes, then agree on clinical and operational standards and future workflows to be incorporated into Epic, the software that runs Hive. To make sure our systems meet operational and auditing requirements, you’ll also collaborate with our Business Intelligence team.

As a central member of the project, you’ll be required to lead on engagement with clinicians and other staff related to your module. But there are also opportunities to work with other EPR module teams across testing, security, user support and medical device integration. As part of your EPR training, you’ll also receive recognised qualifications in an application module.

This advert is recruiting to the ASAP modules focusing on Emergency Care.

Great benefits

Join us at the forefront of change and you’ll enjoy plenty of opportunities, together with all the benefits you can expect as an NHS employee. Alongside a competitive salary, you can expect a comprehensive benefits package including generous holiday entitlement, childcare support, flexible working and an NHS pension.

Personal development is important to us at MFT, and you’ll also be able to move across different departments within the trust while taking advantage of quality training and learning schemes.

Diversity & Inclusion at MFT

At MFT, our ambition is to be the best place to work for individuals from every background. That’s why we’re committed to promoting equality of opportunity, celebrating diversity and eliminating any form of unlawful discrimination across our workforce. This way, we can create a truly inclusive environment and make sure our staff represent the communities we serve.

Required skills and experience

We’re looking for candidates with clinical or operational experience in the NHS. You’ll be a talented communicator who can make complex issues easy to understand – you might also have experience in analysing business and technical requirements or even training in Epic software, but what’s essential is strong IT skills, an eye for detail and a sense of strategy.

You’ll also need a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject. A project management or relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred, but not essential.

To find out more about the key responsibilities and the specific skills and experience you’ll need, take a look at the Job Description & Person Specification attachments under the ‘Supporting Documents’ heading.
