Job description

Work as Senior Nurse (Nursing Sister) on night shifts within a faced paced, complex nursing service in Preston, Lancashire. The nursing service is like a mini hospital, and provides Residential Care, Spinal Nursing Care, Acquired Brain Injury, Complex Nursing and Palliative Nursing Care, and has an excellent reputation in the area.
We are looking for an RGN Registered Nurse, (or RMN / RNLD with hands on clinical skills), to work as Senior Nurse / Nursing Sister on night shifts.

You can work 3, 4, or 3 nights one week and 4 the next, depending on your preference, and the salary is at a competitive rate of £23.50ph, giving an annual salary of;

• £40,326 working 3 nights per week
• £47,658 working 3 nights one week and 4 the next
• £53,768 working 4 nights per week
• Enhancements for bank holidays and overtime

There are 35 nursing clients in the service across 2 nursing units, and a minimum of 3 RN’s on duty on night shifts along with an experienced team of 18 care / support workers.

• To apply for this role, you will have excellent clinical skills. Full training will be provided in any areas you need refreshing on, as your role with include tracheostomy care, catheter care, syringe drivers, pegs and ng feeds, venepuncture, NIV, cough assist, deep tracheal suction and complex wound management.

• Any of these skills can be taught in house so we are looking for a RN with an aptitude for learning and someone who is keen to develop, and work in a senior post.

You will receive a thorough induction including supernumerary hours on both days and nights with excellent support from the well staffed service.

You will receive an extensive internal and external training package. The service offers Deaf awareness training, advanced tracheostomy training, autonomic dysreflexia study and tissue viability courses to name a few.
You will also receive training and qualifications in immediate life support, verification of death, and specialised wound care. Our client is very committed to upskilling their nurses.
