We are currently recruiting for a Projects Training Lead to support the delivery of key projects at our Market Drayton site, by leading the training activities. As Project Training Lead, you will ensure our people achieve the desired level of competence against the relevant best practice documented standards and methods are recorded.
Key responsibilities within this role include:
- Lead the Operations and Engineering teams to identify the required competences for each role impacted by the project.
- Working with Line Management, lead and support the coaching process to successfully convert the learnt knowledge and skills into demonstratable behaviours.
- Lead the development of the Knowledge Management System for the project, interfacing with existing site systems – developing improvements where necessary.
- Lead the creation of Technical Training materials (e.g. Thermoforming) for all critical processes, using the existing site standards or agreeing improvements where necessary.
- Lead the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and One Point Lessons (OPL’s) for all critical processes using the existing site standards and agreeing improvements when required.
- Promote the use of the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring all training materials and records are updated within the system.
- Follow company procedures for accident and hazard management, including the revision of training guides, SOP’s, SSOW’s, One Point Lessons etc.
- Support the CI and Training Manager to deliver training solutions and implement a learning culture as required.
- Adopt new strategic improvements coming from Operations, Quality and/or Engineering group and incorporate into site training needs.
Skills and experience required:
- Modern training methods
- Experience of working within a modern factory environment. Dairy experience desirable but not essential
- Coaching and leadership experience
- Highly competent in Office IT skills
- Effective communication and problem solving skills
- Recognised Training Qualifications
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline
