Professional Cleaner
We are excited to announce a job opening for a dedicated and meticulous Professional Cleaner to join our dynamic team. This role will play a crucial part in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our facilities ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our employees clients and visitors.
Main responsibilities include:
Performing a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain a high standard of cleanliness across our premises:
To safely use cleaning materials supplied by school in accordance with COSHH.
- To work in a manner that is safe and mindful of other occupants (teachers pupils staff parents public etc) including use of PPE signage etc.
- To operate machinery such as vacuum cleaners and polishers in a safe manner and carry out basic repairs and replacement of bags pads etc.
- To carry out daily tasks such as emptying of bins vacuuming all floors cleaning all internal glass wiping all desks mopping all hard floors cleaning sanitaryware etc
- To carry out weekly and termly tasks such as cleaning of blinds deep cleaning of carpets rugs and high level dusting.
- To monitor stock levels and work with Senior Office Administrator and Premises Manager to ensure stock is ordered in a timely manner.
- Practice good housekeeping with shutting and locking of windows external doors switching off lights checking heaters etc.
- Attendance for deep cleaning outside of term time.
- Liaise with and assist Trust Facilities Manager Head of School and Senior Office Administrators in a professional manner as required.
- Work with Trust Finance Team on ordering invoicing and the like as required.
- Work with Trust Extended services in relation to lettings and the like.
- Liaise with wider School staff regarding ongoing matters.
- As required by the school act as responsible key holder. Attendance may be required to provide access for contractors outside of term time subject to need.
- Assist in maintaining security of the school and grounds.
- Reporting of faults to Premises Manager and Senior Office Administrator. Judgement will be required to make the item safe.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience in a cleaning role with a keen eye for detail.
- Possess knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies including proper storage and usage.
- Display a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Exhibit reliability punctuality and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Have excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently.
- Show initiative and be proactive in identifying and resolving cleaning needs.
- Be physically fit and able to perform manual tasks with ease.
Details:
Hours: Parttime 13 hours pw 5:30am 8am Monday to Friday Term time 6 weeks
Contract: Fixed Term Initially
