IT Engineer 

£30,000 - £32,000 per annum (depending on skills and abilities)

Permanent opportunity in Wrexham

The Role:

IT Engineer required to provide excellent IT support and day-to-day maintenance of systems within the IT department of a reputable manufacturing company in Wrexham. The role offers great scope and the opportunity to further grow and progress in one's career.

Responsibilities of the IT Engineer:

• Active Directory, Servers Management (Windows and Ubuntu), SQL (SQL Server), Virtual Machines (VMware), Backups (Veeam), Documentation (Confluence)

• Microsoft Office 365 support and good knowledge of Windows operating systems 7+,

• Assist with General Software installation and network management,

• Network device management & installation, printer servers, Laptops / Desktops, Switches, Firewalls, Raspberry Pi's. configuration and ongoing usability of system hardware and software.

• Advanced in Windows 10 & 11.

• Providing user's support within the company for local and remote workers

• Cooperation with headquarter office and branch offices via MS Teams

IT Engineer requirements:

• Knowledge of the following topics: - basic IT security threats and attack vectors, Active Directory management tasks, networking devices such as firewalls and switches and basic IT security principles.

• Completed a minimum HNC/HND or Degree in IT/Software development.

• Demonstrable experience in an IT programme background.

• The ability to communicate well on all levels and should have the ability to communicate complex IT issues in simple terms.
