Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Monday - Friday, rotational 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm and 10pm - 6am
Location: Glasgow (G68 9LB)

As a Transport Clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting our transportation operations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the transport office. You will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring the movement of goods, managing driver schedules, and maintaining accurate records of deliveries and collections.

What does the role entail?

• Coordinate and monitor the movement of goods, ensuring timely delivery and collection
• Manage driver schedules and allocate resources efficiently
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and any incidents or delays
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to resolve any issues or queries
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Assist with administrative tasks as required

What do we require from you?

• Previous experience in a similar role within the logistics or transportation industry is desirable
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in using computer systems and software, including MS Office
• Knowledge of transport regulations and legislation is advantageous
