Job description

The Role:
To join a team of well-established carers to support a young lady who has suffered a spinal cord injury. She is paralysed and requires live-in care.

Main Duties
• To use a hoist
• To support with moving her manual wheelchair
• To provide personal care, including showering and toileting
• To support with Trachy Care
• To prepare meals and drinks
• To support with medication
• To support with keeping her bedroom clean and tidy
• To support with a cough assistant machine and nebuliser

Personal Qualities and Attributes required:
• Respectful of confidentiality and privacy
• Responsible, reliable and trustworthy
• Respectful of dignity and independence
• Good communication skills and social skills
• Sociable and positive attitude

UK driving licence is essential.

*This role is a lone working position, and an Enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) is required for all staff undertaking the role*

Hours: 8:00 – 20:00
Pay: £800.00 per week
