Band 8a - Psychologist or CBT therapist - Leeds - Newly qualified candidate applications are welcomed

Job description

An exciting new opportunity has opened for a Qualified Band 8a CBT Therapist acute to join a dynamic talking therapies NHS team based in Leeds, Yorkshire. Candidates must be available to work Face to Face. The appointed Cognitive behavioural therapist will be able to start as soon as possible, working full-time hours each week. As this is a band 7/8a position, our client will also welcome Newly Qualified Psychologists as well as experienced candidates.

The successful CBT therapist will be part of high-intensity CBT service to patients with Long Term Condition mental health disorders—experience in helping staff formulate and not just have skills in working 121 with service users.

To be considered for this role applying therapists must have the following:

• A postgraduate diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
• Full BABCP accreditation
• Completed LTC training
• Extensive Mental Health experience
• The ability to develop good therapeutic relationships with clients
• Be comfortable providing 1:1 or group consultation (face-to-face and via telephone)
• An IAPT supervision course is ideal, but not essential for the role
• Be empathetic and understanding
