Title: Head of Finance
Salary: £80,000 - £90,000, pension, healthcare, 3x life insurance, 25 days A/L etc
Location: Reading (hybrid 1-2 days wfh)
We are currently working with an exciting B2B SAAS scale-up that is looking for a Head of Finance on a permanent basis to go on their growth journey. The company is about to enter an exciting expansion phase with the potential of entering their product into US market in the next 6 months. As a result they are hoping to bring on a candidate who can implement business controls and processes to help them achieve these ambitions
This is an exciting opportunity to join a VC backed company with aspirations to achieve an exit transaction, of some sort, in the near to medium term.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
Financial Strategy
- Work alongside the CFO to develop and implement financial and operational strategies aligned with organisational goals.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Work with the Management Team to conduct a semi-annual rolling 12-month forecasting process.
- Monitor and report upon, on a monthly basis, financial performance vs. plan, presenting the results to individual departmental budget holders and at a company-wide level with SLT.
Reporting
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts encompassing financial reporting, unit economics and appropriate SaaS metrics with accompanying analysis and commentary.
- Coordinate annual external audits, ensuring compliance and accuracy, for all group companies.
Business Partnering
- Create a culture of finance business partnering by proactively collaborating with peers across the business.
- Perform commercial forecasting and modelling to support decision-making.
Tax
- Oversee all tax compliance, ensuring accurate and timely filing of all required tax returns.
- Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to optimise the group's tax position, proactively identifying opportunities for tax efficiencies while ensuring compliance. Lead the process of claiming and managing R&D tax incentives.
Qualifications/Experience
- Audit background (Essential)
- Strong FP&A knowledge (Essential)
- Finance business partnering experince (Essential)
- Strong technical accounting background (Essential)
- ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified (Essential)
- B2B SAAS experience (Essential)
- Experience implementing FP&A tools and Netsuite (Ideal)
Would accept applications from Financial Controller, Finance Manager, Head of Finance, Finance Director, Associate Finance Director other similar titles.
