We are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk/Accounts Assistant, to join the Finance Department for a company based in Llantrisant.
The candidate will need to be suitably vetted for this finance position.
This position will take an active role in administration with the Purchase Ledger Team and the Finance Team. This will involve data inputting, matching pods to invoices, processing invoices for payment whilst ensuring accurate cost coding, VAT accounting and supplier statement reconciliations. As part of a small, but busy transactional accounting team, also be required to learn and participate in other aspects of the department.
The successful candidate will be confident, well organised and have a strong work ethic. They must be able to participate effectively in a team and prioritise their work to meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written are required as well as a basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Occasional ad-hoc duties will include photo-copying and scanning documents.
The hours of work are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Commencing at 8am to 4pm with an hour lunch break at 1pm.
We would be looking to pay a rate of £13 per hour.
After a six-month period, if suitable, an offer of a permanent contract may then be considered and a proposed uplift in salary can be considered..
