Job description

Robert Half are working in partnership with a renowned, leading organisation in Swindon to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their finance function on a full-time permanent basis. This is a progressive, challenging role that will be heavily involved with a variety of technical accounting duties, with an emphasis on lease accounting, fixed assets, balance sheet, P&L and an element of business partnering with various stakeholders across the business. This role will be suitable for a ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified candidate that is keen to take the next step up in their career and be a part of a company that is well known for offering career development and progression. The salary is between £45,000 - £50,000 plus car allowance, annual bonus, hybrid working and other excellent benefits.

The Role

The main duties of the Financial Accountant role will consist of:

• Balance sheet review and reconciliations.
• Providing detailed profit and loss and balance sheet analysis.
• CAPEX reporting.
• Further financial reporting and providing commentary of variances and key drivers.
• Ownership of budgeting, forecasting process and 3 year plan.
• Maintaining the fixed asset register and depreciation.
• Ownership of IFRS16 lease and rent accounting.
• Business partnering with various stakeholders in order to maintain and enhance processes around P&L.

Requirements

To be considered for the Financial Accountant role, you must ideally possess the following skills/attributes:

• Must have experience within a similar role, either within practice or industry.
• Good working knowledge of balance sheet and profit and loss.
• Ideally ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Innovative mindset.
• Hard work ethic.
