About the Role
You will join the technology and data team, working closely with our data scientist and head of R&D to improve the data acquisition and storage methods for our fastest growing platform.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Advising and developing specifications for new features and upgrades
- Analyzing, developing and documenting solutions independently and collaboratively
- Conducting rigorous testing and deployment to our environments
Specific Skills and Experience
Essential
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
- A strong and in-depth understanding of best practice Python and data pipeline development. Documented examples will be requested
- Excellent working knowledge of Python 3 and the Python data stack, including NumPy, Pandas and packages like Beautiful Soup
- Strong experience of web scraping methods, interacting with APIs, relational databases (preferably MySQL)
- Running Python in a Linux environment and package management
- Working knowledge of Git and version control
- Self-motivated work ethic with innovative ideas and excellent attention to detail
- A relevant bachelor’s degrees or equivalent work experience
Desirable
- Building APIs and systems that can leverage machine learning and AI
- An understanding of Python frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, Django
- An understanding of regulatory filing systems such as SEC EDGAR, SEDAR, NSM, AMF
- An understanding of XBRL filings
