A large, well-organised secondary school in Tower Hamlets is looking for a school receptionists to join their school as soon as possible.

Job role

In this role you will be providing reception and administration duties within the main school reception. Your role will include dealing with visitors, parent enquiries and supporting both the office staff and school management as required. The school are looking for two receptionists who have a confident and positive approach with excellent verbal and written English and strong IT skills. 

As a school administrator your role will include:

• Reception duties, answering routine telephone, face-to-face enquiries and signing in visitors.
• Assisting with routine admin tasks and any other duties as may be reasonably required by the Office Manager or school business manager
• Maintaining manual and computerised records/ management information systems.
• Undertaking typing, word processing and other ICT based tasks including updating the school website.
• Assisting with arrangement for visits by external companies.

The school are open to applications from experienced school receptionist, receptionists from other settings and graduates with a confident, dedicated approach.

The school are looking for a receptionist to start as soon as possible. The hours are 8.30am – 4.00pm Monday to Friday with a one-hour lunch break. Both roles are term-time only with occasional additional hours in the holidays.

The school is well organised with a committed and driven leadership team who work closely with staff and parents to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils. Alongside the teaching staff team, there is an established school administration team who ensure all aspects of the day to day running of the school are accurate and completely efficiently.
