Are you a reliable and proactive individual looking for a rewarding career opportunity? Our client school based in Sheffield is seeking a dedicated School Caretaker to join their team and help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general maintenance tasks, including repairs, painting, and cleaning, to ensure the school premises are safe and well-maintained.
- Monitor and maintain security systems, including alarms and CCTV, to ensure the safety and security of the school.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of events and activities held on school premises.
- Respond promptly to any emergencies or incidents that may arise during school hours or after hours.
- Undertake regular health and safety inspections and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a caretaker, site supervisor, facility coordinator, or similar role preferred.
- Ability to perform general maintenance tasks and use basic hand and power tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to provide employment references covering the last two years and willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
