Job description
Wagner UK is a dynamic and growing fire solutions company dedicated to making the world a safer place. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as a Finance Coordination Apprentice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous administrative experience to gain valuable skills and experience in the finance sector.
1. Financial Data Entry and Management:
· Accurately enter financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets.
· Assist in maintaining organized and up-to-date financial records.
2. Invoice Processing:
· Collaborate with the finance team to process invoices in a timely manner.
· Verify and reconcile discrepancies in invoices.
3. Expense Tracking:
· Assist in monitoring and tracking company expenses.
· Work closely with team members to ensure compliance with expense policies.
4. Bank Reconciliation:
· Support the finance team in reconciling bank statements.
· Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
5. Administrative Support:
· Provide administrative assistance to the finance department as needed.
· Assist the Managing Director with calendar management, travel arrangements, and other administrative tasks.
6. Communication:
· Collaborate with team members to ensure clear and effective communication.
· Interact with vendors and internal stakeholders professionally and courteously.
7. Training and Development:
· Participate in training programs to enhance financial and administrative skills.
· Proactively seek opportunities for professional development.
Formal training is delivered at HWGTA, located in Worcester (WR4 9GN).
You will receive a training plan that is specific to your qualification, with sessions that are delivered through a combination of face-to-face and remote.
You will receive training one day per week which is a combination of face-to-face and remote, as per your assigned training plan.
Additional training for functional skills in English and Maths will be undertaken if needed.
You will receive monthly visits from your assigned Learning and Development Specialist, who will set you work, monitor your development and wellbeing, and discuss training sessions. They will also prepare you for your End Point Assessment to gain your AAT Assistant Accountant Level 3 qualification - AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting.
There is also a five-day teambuilding residential trip that is held in the spring of each year offered to all apprentices on programme.
Once qualified there will be an opportunity to progress within the company’s finance function.
