Veterinary Surgeon
Highertown Vets
Salary up to £52,000 depending on experience
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic veterinary surgeon to join our small but friendly team, providing excellent care to our loyal client base and their pets. Ideally, you will be an experienced surgeon, although a confident new graduate could be considered. You will have great communication skills and be approachable and compassionate. An ability to handle routine surgeries is desirable, as would be an interest in ultrasonography.
Ideally, you will work between 16 and 32 hours per week. We can be flexible with how these hours are arranged in shifts throughout the week. However, we will require Saturday mornings (8:30 am - 12:30 pm) to be worked on a 1 in 3 basis. There is no out-of-hours with this role.Why Join Our Fantastic Practice?

We are a three-vet practice that take pride in providing our clients with a friendly, approachable service and a high standard of excellent, compassionate care for our patients. Most of our small team of vets, five nurses and a receptionist have been with the practice for many years, and countless numbers of our clients have been with us for even longer (in some cases, over 40 years!). We have a genuinely close bond between team members, clients, and patients alike and regard each other as family. The practice benefits from both general and dental x-ray facilities, ultrasound scanners and the usual laboratory machines for rapid in-house diagnosis, whilst the experienced clinical team is constantly discussing case management daily. As for our location, we are centrally based in what is arguably the most beautiful county in England. With easy access to sandy beaches galore, breathtaking scenery and captivating historical sites, water sports and adventure activities and Cornwall's amazing food scene, it is not difficult to keep yourself busy during your downtime.
