Solicitor - Family / Matrimonial
Location: Tring
Salary: Up to £50,000pa pro rata
My client is looking for an experienced solicitor in Family/Matrimonial with the experience to work largely unsupervised, ideally a minimum of 4 years PQE.
Initially this will be a part time role for a maximum of 3 days a week but this could increase depending on workload and desire for more hours. Shared Secretarial support will be available for this role.
Membership of Resolution and/or the Law Society Family Law Accreditation Scheme would be an advantage but not essential. The salary is from £40,000 - £50,000 pro rata, depending on qualifications/experience.
Main/General responsibilities
- To manage all client work allocated and in accordance with detailed procedures and quality standards.
- To ensure that all client work is progressed expeditiously and that the client is kept regularly informed on progress and on costs.
- At all times to exercise high standards of client care in a professional and pleasant manner.
- To ensure the confidentiality and security of all of the firm’s and client documentation and information.
- To achieve agreed levels of billing and time recording.
- In close liaison with the bookkeeper, to have overall responsibility for credit control on own matters.
- To comply with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and the Rules on the Professional Conduct of Solicitors.
- To maintain clear and precise communications with other personnel of the firm.
- To ensure good working relationships with external institutions and organisations.
- To supervise, support and develop immediate support staff.
- To take responsibility for and attend to self-development.
- In conjunction with the firm, to comply with the relevant training requirements of the Law Society/Institute of Legal Executives and to assist with in-house training as may be required.
In liaison with the Principal, to be active in promoting the services of the firm and its image and ethos
