Job description
My client is recruiting for a Business Development / Field Sales person to join them as soon as possible.
Overall Job purpose:
- Increase the sales with existing customers.
- Maintain customer interaction and build long term relationships.
- Generate new customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new customers by visiting potential accounts and building relationships with decision makers.
- Encourage potential customers to trial products in store and then follow up to advise on how to increase sales.
- Open customer account with stores who are interested in starting to trade with us after the trial.
- Develop and deliver sales presentations to potential customers and close deals.
- Conduct research on new sales opportunities and develop sales strategies with the National Sales Manager.
- Increase / maintain sales in existing customers by shelf management, installing POS materials, promotions, and conversations with store managers.
- Create POS materials with marketing department.
- Travel as required, to attend meetings and events nationwide & Europewide.
- Plan / attend / implement sampling events at consumer exhibitions and stores.
- Manage external agencies and store staff.
- Help with any other activities which may be necessary to facilitate the smooth running of the department and business.
- Handle customer enquiries
- Continuous understanding of the UK grocery market and report back to management any relevant news.
- Report achievements and challenges to the National Sales Manager
