Job description

A wholesaler is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join its growing team based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. Please note that this is an office-based role but offers flexibility around timings.

In this finance role, you will report directly to the Financial Controller; you will take responsibility for liaising with the commercial team to ensure sales invoices are raised and issued to clients in a timely manner and working with the procurement team to ensure expenses/overheads are appropriately authorised and categorised. You will be responsible for credit control, purchase invoices, payroll, cashflow monitoring and ultimately grow into accountant functions. Any prior payroll experience would be advantageous but is not a prerequisite.

In order to be suitable for this role, you will need good organisational and interpersonal skills to develop a working relationship with suppliers. The ideal candidate will be AAT or similar or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA. Experience with Sage 50 Payroll and Sage 200 is desirable but not essential.
