Salary: £60,000 - £70,000pa + Car Allowance + Healthcare + Pension Scheme

Company: Join a dynamic and innovative team at one of the UK's leading Tier One Contractors. Specialising in delivering complex infrastructure projects, including highways schemes, to the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability. Currently, they are embarking on a prestigious £200 million highway scheme in Oxford, and are seeking a skilled Site Agent to play a key role in its successful delivery.

Role Overview: As a Site Agent, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of all on-site operations, ensuring adherence to project plans, budgets, and quality standards. Your extensive experience working on large highways schemes will be instrumental in driving the successful completion of our Oxford project. You will collaborate closely with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and the project management team to ensure seamless coordination and efficient project delivery. This project is in ECI for the next 6-9 months so you will be heavily involved in the pre-construction, working closely with the design, commercial, planning and engineering teams to ensure the project is all ready to go out on site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the pre-construction teams through the 6-9 month ECI stage.
• Manage day-to-day on-site activities, including site safety, progress monitoring, and resource allocation.
• Implement and enforce robust health, safety, and environmental procedures in compliance with regulations and company standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure timely delivery of works within budget and to the required quality.
• Monitor and report on project progress, identifying any risks or issues and implementing appropriate mitigation measures.
• Maintain effective communication channels with project stakeholders, including client representatives, consultants, and local authorities.
• Provide leadership and guidance to site staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience working as a Site Agent on large highways schemes, preferably with a leading contractor.
• In-depth knowledge of highways construction techniques, standards, and regulations.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage site teams effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or construction management
• Valid CSCS card and SMSTS certificate.
