Key Responsibilities of a Senior Electronics Engineer
- Design and develop board-level electronics hardware including microcontroller-based systems, power supplies and analogue circuits
- Develop PCB layouts for optimal performance and manufacturability.
- Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical guidance on electronic components.
- Collaborate closely with software, and mechanical engineering teams.
- Ensure designs meet regulatory standards for the medical device industry.
- Drive innovation through research, prototyping, and testing of new technologies.
- Support and mentor other team members
Experience and Skill set of a Senior Electronics Engineer:
- Degree Educated (BEng or higher in Electronics Engineer/ Closely Related Subject)
- At least 5 years experience in electronics design, particularly in medical devices.
- Proficiency in schematic capture tools (Altium Designer, Cadence, etc.) and simulation software.
- Strong knowledge of PCB layout best practices and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as ISO 13485 and IEC 60601.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
