Robert Half are pleased to be recruiting an exciting opportunity to join our client based in Bicester as the Financial Controller . The Financial Controller will receive a salary of up to £80,000 along with other attractive benefits including a company car (or allowance). This organisation is an SME and it would suit a qualified accountant who enjoys a 'hands on' environment.

Primary responsibilities -

· Managing, motivating, and developing the small and experienced Finance team

· A member of the board, driving the strategic planning and performance of the business with the provision of effective analysis and modelling

· Ensuring the monthly management pack is prepared in a timely manner and reviewing for key variances with the board.

· Responsible for budgeting, business planning and forecasting preparation and reporting.

· Owning external relationship with auditors and other professional advisors

Key experience and attributes -

· Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA)

· Hungry to take on tasks themselves with excellent organisational skills

· Able to work in a fast-paced business and has the skills required to meet deadlines and manage a high level and variety of tasks

· Humble with people skills that create good relationships to get buy in and drive improvements across the business

· Rounded commercially and with business awareness

· Good at attention to detail

· Excellent systems experience and ability to pick up processes within systems; with experience of developing reporting and improving processes
