Job description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Director – Strategy and Engagement to join us!

This is a full-time, permanent role as part of the council’s Corporate Leadership Team, with hybrid working (in the office at least two days a week), and a salary of £72,400 - £101,125 per annum.

This is an excellent opportunity for an innovative and inspiring leader to join the council’s Corporate Leadership Team to be our new Assistant Director – Strategy and Engagement .

The Role:

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will lead and develop RBWM’s policy, strategy, performance, transformation, and communications and engagement functions to deliver high quality and efficient services to our residents and businesses. You will also be responsible for:

Proven experience of leading and developing high performing teams which a fast-paced environment. A track record of developing a vision of high quality, effective & improving services. Experience of leading and managing change, resulting in measurable service improvements. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to provide strategic direction. Demonstrable experience of working collaboratively and building relationships with senior stakeholders.
