WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a brilliant and experienced Policy, Advocacy and Campaign Director who will be at the heart of our work.

Your job will see you work with a wide variety of people and organisations across the climate and development space, with a particular focus on UN agencies, international NGOs, policy makers and grassroots activists in G20 countries. Your work will provide key insights and the policy backbone that leads to a clear theory of change and strategic approach to underpin our global creative campaign work.

As we move into the second half of the Global Goals, it is likely that your work will focus on key thematic areas we are calling ‘the gamechangers’ – policy areas and innovations that can exponentially accelerate progress across all the Goals – for example: the reform and replenishment of global financial institutions such as the World Bank, women’s power and AI and innovation.

The role will operate alongside our Creative and Campaign Director to help develop, shape, and deliver effective campaigns which inspire key targets to action, be that engaged public, partners and stakeholders and/or political and business leaders. You will lead and develop key civil society relationships and convene and participate in policy and advocacy discussions at the highest level. Working strategically, you’ll be adept at linking policy, advocacy campaigns and media, and combining them for the biggest impact in the context of today’s political realities.

One of our core values is the ‘uncomplicated communication of complicated ideas’ and a central pillar of your role will be to translate complex policy into uncomplicated messaging and narratives that inform not only our external campaigns and communications, but also our internal briefings and editorial policy. Directors are key to driving PE’s culture of inclusivity and teamwork, so you’ll be comfortable nurturing and trusting your team to deliver. The nature of your role will mean you will need to collaborate across the organisation, pitching in with strategic and policy advice to inform everything from social media posts to keynote speeches.

You’ll have a solid grasp of key advocacy moments in the SDG calendar and a strong network of contacts across civil society to turn to when you need intelligence. You will be constantly looking to expand this network and develop formal and informal partnerships to help with Project Everyone’s mission.

While you will obviously have significant knowledge in both the development and sustainability arena, you will also have an appreciation of the role that creativity, media and cultural figures can play in communicating these messages.

Above all you’ll be motivated by a strong sense of community and purpose – and a deep desire to use your skills to improve the state of the world. If this sounds like you, please apply!

ABOUT YOU

PROJECT EVERYONE

Project Everyone is a not-for-profit creative communications agency which was co-founded by Richard Curtis (the filmmaker and founder of Comic Relief). Our mission is to make the Global Goals (also known as the SDGs) universally known and to establish them as the framework by which governments, businesses, and citizens take action and make progress towards a fairer world by 2030.

We are a team of communications and campaign specialists, mainly based in London, who sit at the heart of a global network of civil society organisations, public sector partners, brands, government departments, UN agencies, public figures and social influencers. We use our creative and strategic resources to curate events, convene partners and create content across digital platforms, advertising sites, media outlets, social channels, physical activations and to garner press attention.

17 GOALS, 1 TEAM

We’re a collaborative, passionate and motivated team working towards an amazing set of Global Goals. We support, nurture and challenge each other daily, and have a relatively flat structure, where feedback and ideas are welcomed. We have created a space based on ideas and passion and are actively looking to welcome people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

We’ve created a set of values that encapsulate what Project Everyone strive for as a team. Our values are simple and underpin how we behave and the standard we set for our work;

DIVERSITY AT PE

PE is an equal opportunities employer that works with partners and organisations globally. We benefit from the knowledge and skills that these culturally diverse teams bring. We’re therefore proud to say we’re taking affirmative action to create a team with a variety of skills that come together regardless of race, colour, ancestry, religion, sex, nationality, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, or gender identity.
