Job description
The purpose of this role is to monitor our 4 care homes. From a centralised base you will be part of a team servicing all 4 sites to monitor and protect our residents by examining acoustic monitoring systems to escalate any irregularities, trips or falls of residents within our care homes.

Summary responsibilities
- Delivering Service Level Agreement for our residents through full responsibility and accountability to provide a high-quality customer service and care.
- Ensure all safety and emergency procedures are followed.
- Monitoring of the innovation acoustic monitoring system and following procedures in the event of an incident.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents.
- An understanding of care/night-time care.
- Production and submission of incident reports.
- Following check-in and sign-in protocols to ensure escalation procedures are confirmed and tested, prior to the shift starting.
- Keeping records of site activity through the Daily Occurrence Book.
- Immediate escalation of incidents to care homes.
- Proactive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Ability to adapt and deal with the unexpected.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across and externally to St Monica Trust.

Other Skills and Qualifications
Essential
- GCSE English and Maths
- Previous experience of working in a care home environment
- Understanding of technology and IT systems
Desirable
- Experience of using Acoustic Monitoring systems
- Understanding of the needs of older people, including dementia and complex care needs.
- Understanding of GDPR.

31.5 hours per week over 4 nights on rota week 1 and 3 nights on rota week 2, 21.00 - 07.00 with sixty minutes unpaid break.
£11.81 per hour plus enhancement for nights where applicable
The role
As a Care Assistant, you get to support and deliver care to our residents, by assisting them with their daily needs. Building strong relationships is the key in this role, supporting their health and well-being.
Training and development
You will get all the support and training needed to, if you wish, become a Senior Care Assistant and to work under guidance from our Registered Nurses, carrying out more complex care activities, as well as taking more responsibility for residents around the home.
