Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village (Managed by Legacy Hotels and Resorts Limited) have a rare opportunity for a Night Manager to join our high calibre team in a well-established global brand. Upon opening in 2022 the hotel will boasted 221 bedrooms across 16 floors, a variety of sophisticated meeting rooms, a 53sqm Gym and ground floor coffee shop.

You will have the opportunity to be heavily involved with an exciting and busy award winning Hotel working alongside a strong and consistent senior team.

Role Overview

To monitor hotel security, serve room and drinks service to guests, carrying out cleaning duties. Ensuring hotel public areas are to the highest possible standards. Assist guests with requests or enquiries. Commitment to Quality All staff are expected to care for our customers in a friendly, helpful, efficient and professional manner at all times.

  • Be responsible for night operations, guests and staff
  • Handle all queries promptly ensuring the customer receives friendly and efficient response
  • Ensure all areas are secured and carry out regular security checks throughout the night
  • Prepare and serve food and drink from the 24 hr menu upon request to residents
  • Ensure all food and drinks served during the night are charged for, and to ensure no revenue is lost.
  • Undertake the check-in and check-out of guests, ensuring that all accounts are settled before departure
  • Operate the early morning call system, ensuring all guests receive their call as requested
  • Communicate any request to the relevant personnel
  • Move guest luggage if requested
  • Organise taxi or transport for guests, also staff, if authorised by Duty Manager or General Manager
  • Control of music and lighting in all public areas
  • Set up and breakdown conference and banqueting rooms as and when required as per Company standards, function sheet or instruction from the Duty Manager
  • Ensure all function rooms are cleaned to the required standard when required
  • Collect in breakfast cards from bedrooms, prepare and serve early trays
  • Assist guests after functions with their requirements
  • Ensure that only residents are in the hotel at the end of functions
  • Keep all bars secure at all times
  • Report any maintenance defects to Duty Manager at the end of the shift
  • Ensure that no staff come into the hotel during the night when off duty, unless authorised by General Manager or Job Description Night Manager
  • Be of a smart appearance at all times paying particular attention to personal hygiene
  • Adhere to all fire, health and safety procedures
  • Prepare the function board for the following days meetings
  • Be available for training and staff meetings as requested
  • Manage direct reports performance effectively to ensure department runs safely and efficiently at all times Health and Safety
  • Adhere to Health and Safety Rules, Notices and obligations
  • Comply with any code of practice or guidance, which applies to your work
  • Ensure direct reports adhere to all expected working practices
  • Be aware of hazards with regard to electrical equipment and installation, hazardous substances, manual handling and hygiene, by reducing the risk.
