A vacancy has arisen for a Stores Administrator to join the Stores department based at the 20” Pipe Mill, Hartlepool.

What you will do

The Stores Administrator will provide first-line support to both the engineering and production functions at the 20” Pipe Mill. You will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the supply of Goods and Services for the site are processed to meet required demands and timescales.

As part of the role, the Stores Administrator will be responsible for:

• The raising of purchase requisitions for both goods and services for all departments and functions ensuring a speedy conversion to Purchase order and subsequent completion/delivery.
• Expediting of all open and outstanding purchase orders, liaising with both Vendors and our Procurement department to resolve price, quantity and technical queries to ensure deliveries are met without issue.
• To assist in the Hiring and Control of all site Plant Equipment ensuring materials are on site at the required date and made ready and available for collection on completion of the hire.
• To assist the MRP Controller in the management of all engineering ‘Off-Site’ repairs for the plant from quotation to completion ensuring all relevant paperwork is generated, processed and closed out in a timely manner.

What you will need

The Stores Administrator should preferably have previous experience working in a busy office environment ideally within the engineering or construction industry although this is not essential. You must show the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.

You will also be computer literate, comfortable in using Microsoft Office and ideally with prior experience with SAP Material Management, although not essential as the necessary training will be provided.

The Stores Administrator must be able to work under pressure and plan your own workload effectively. A strong customer and supplier focus is essential and your ability to provide positive and helpful service to a diverse customer group would be required.
