Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic business that is experiencing exceptional growth. They are seeking a results driven and detail-orientated Estimator to enhance their current team within the Architectural Division. Our client is an expert in steel fabrication. The Group is currently made up of 5 key divisions or sub-brands, all with their own area of expertise with an annual turnover was £12M.

You will be working in our busy estimating department, producing accurate quotations and negotiating tenders with their clients.

Job details and requirements:

• Working closely with QS, PM and design department – pre-submission and order stage
• Engage with customers and key prospects
• Deliver comprehensive solutions to drive sales
• Estimating architectural metalwork (especially staircases) and secondary steelwork through reading drawings and preparing material take-offs and tender summaries
• Preparing quotations to meet deadlines and employing meticulous checks and balances to eliminate errors
• Possess in-depth product knowledge of our product range and be able to identify new product opportunities

Experience must haves:

• Maintaining and creating relationships within the business and customers
• Selling, negotiation and communication skills – key
• An understanding of architectural metalwork products
• Proficient with Bluebeam
• Very strong with spreadsheets/excel
• Proven track record with securing successful project bids and leading teams
