About the Pub

The Pig & Whistle occupies a large plot on the outskirts of Heywood, with plenty of parking space. It is surrounded by many houses and is on the edge of a large industrial estate. Regional Manager's Thoughts

A vibrant calendar of events to cater for the pool team and darts teams as well as quizzes, race nights, charity days and pub outings are vital for the success of this business. The Pig & Whistle has potential to be the archetypal community pub; a social hub of the community where people can celebrate and commiserate. This pub is offered on a Beacon Partnership Agreement and benefits from discounts, free training, marketing and other support packages.

Surrounding Area

The pub is located five minutes from Heywood town centre. The whole town is undergoing a major regeneration as part of the government's New Deal for Communities. This bid was initially won in 2000 and work to regenerate this town is still on-going.
