5D Bespoke People Solutions are proud to be working with a leading engineering company that design and manufacture sealing systems that are used in a variety of industries. They supply anything from a simple off the shelf O rings through to bespoke sealing machinery.
What the role will include:
The workshop role involves building the machines from the ground up, through to FAT and client acceptance.
Mechanically:
- Taking base frames, and fitting mechanical components – this could be pumps, valves, chillers, and other components.
- Building sub-assemblies – this could be sealing mechanisms, grabbers, cooling systems etc.
- Fitting the sub-assemblies in to larger assemblies and into the main machine.
Electrically:
- Building the control panel – these are typically fairly small – about the size of a large bathroom cabinet.
- Wiring the machines, including working from schematics, running cables, terminating, crimping etc.
- Wiring in the control panel to the machine.
Test:
- Checking all the electrical and mechanical fitting prior to test, and doing any snagging.
- Conducting power up testing.
- Conducting a pre-written functionality test programme.
- Certify the machine when happy.
- Be involved with the FAT with the client.
- This is either face to face, or done over video call.
Site work:
- Go on to a client site and install and commission the machine.
- Travel can be UK or EU – and is only 10% of the role. There is a service engineer who will do the majority of the instals.
- Machines can be table-top sized, through to something that’s 3m long.

This role pays £30k - £37k + Regular overtime paid with average earnings in excess of £45,000!
