Job description
37 hours per week
Afternoon/Evening (hours to be discussed at interview)
Carry out key holder duties and respond to emergency call outs and provide emergency access to the school site. Lock and unlock school buildings and other areas.
Responsible for maintaining records, information and data and managing the school letting system.
Organise or carry out minor repairs and ensure planned maintenance programmes are undertaken to specification including daily emptying of large school bins and litter collection.
Manage cleaning and or other site staff and coordinate the work.
Operate and maintain heating, plant, lighting and swimming pool systems.
Ensure planned maintenance programmes are undertaken to specification.
Undertake regular premises/site inspections in conjunction with operations manager and identify and record repair and maintenance requirements as well as safety audits and risk assessments.
Ensure stocks and materials are ordered within agreed budgets whilst being responsible for the administration and control of specified budget area.
Testing of fire alarm system and sprinkler system weekly and undertake regular visual checks of fire extinguishers, also Legionella testing.
In adverse weather conditions grit pathways and site.
Log and pass on meter readings monthly to the business manager.
