Administrator – Child Health Information Service, London
This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday with the occasional Saturday morning shift (paid overtime or time off in-lieu).
Salary: £21,355 plus High Cost Allowance
The Child Health Information Service has an important role in the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme by ensuring health records are maintained and accurate and administratively supporting health care professionals to deliver important health interventions to children, including screening and immunisations.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our team as an Administrator for our Child Health Information Service (CHIS) in London. Our values of care, trust, passion and fresh thinking are at the centre of everything we do.
The successful candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude to work and will strive to be a highly effective member of the CHIS team. The role primarily consists of processing and updating health records for children to ensure these are correct and up to date, and it would be suited to someone who enjoys repetitive data entry and can carry out these tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
Main responsibilities include: - Provide excellent administrative support to facilitate the delivery of the healthy child programme.
- Ensure a high degree of accuracy in updating and maintaining the child health record.
- Register new birth notifications correctly and promptly.
- Correctly record immunisations and screening results.
- Ensure child health records are processed promptly for children moving in/out of the area
- Transferring records as appropriate to the relevant healthcare providers.
- Liaising with and supporting HCPs by providing accurate and up to date information from the child health record.
- Supporting failsafe measures that are in place to ensure children are offered/receive the necessary health interventions.
- Undertake any other administrative or ad hoc duties that is commensurate to the role
Key skills and experience include: - Excellent self organisation skills.
- Good problem solving.
- Good experience with data entry processing and database skills.
- Good experience and knowledge of MS Office, Word and Excel.
- Be a good communicator and able to liaise with a wide range of HCPs
- Positive, can-do attitude, with a willingness to learn and improve.
- Motivated and enthusiastic.
