Interim Senior Accountant  – 6 month fixed-term contract

The business has experienced significant growth over the last few years and is looking for an individual to help build a scalable finance function to support continued organic and acquisitive growth. 

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Interim Senior Accountant to join our team during a period of increased demand from the Board and our Private Equity Investor to support the execution of number of tactical and strategic deliverables. 

In this role, you will be supporting our Group Finance Director deliver a number of key projects and support specific BAU activities. 

No direct reports.

Essential skills

• Considerable senior finance experience as a Finance Business Partner, Finance Manager, Senior Management Accountant or equivalent; 
• All-round experience of management accounting, financial accounting, M&A, tax & compliance; 
• A recognised accountancy qualification – preferably ACA or CIMA; 
• Practice trained and able to own and manage a group audit and UK corporation tax computation; 
• Direct industry and practice experience working with mid-sized group/PE backed organisations, or working in a dynamic global leading brand; 
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth & continually changing environment; 
• Strong technical accounting knowledge including statutory reporting under UK GAAP and IFRS 102 
• Advanced Excel knowledge and financial modelling skills; 
• The ability to produce high-quality reports to the Board and/or PE investors; 
• A proactive / analytical approach to all aspects of work with the ability to make well thought out decisions & work independently; 
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers and co-workers; 
• Deadline driven & well organised. 

Desirable skills

• Prior knowledge of Dynamics Business Central (Microsoft Navision).
• Project management/business transformation experience.
• US corporation tax/compliance and experience compiling submissions such as Form 1099 and Form 1042.
• Marketing agency/professional services experience beneficial, but not a pre-requisite.
